Ugly Duckling Exhibitions; Lost Corners of Glasgow: photographic prints by Johm Gilmour

This exhibition is a time line of lost spaces in Glasgow.  There’s an intimacy in these places, each image reflects John Gilmour’s experience within his environment. History of a place is revealed in light, space and location. In this exhibition, with images from 1970 to 1990, there is a unique opportunity to see an intimate glimpse of John’s familiarity with Glasgow as a transformative city.

John discovered photography when he was eight years old and has been taking images ever since. He was working on a professional level before and after he attended the College of Printing from 1969 to 1972. He has traveled the world, working as a photographer and musician from Glasgow to Nigeria; Cork to South America and beyond and has exhibited in Glasgow and internationally.
